This is really neat--it makes me wonder what the original picture was actually of! As for the classification, I think you did just fine. I'm sure an admin will notify you if there's so huge mistake 
I like the how the swirling effect is a bit more jagged here; it almost reminds me of liquid smoke...if that makes any sense. I love the color combination as well.
